The Benefits of Hiring a Contractor Who Can Handle All of Your Plumbing and Electrical Work

    Last updated 1 month ago

Whether you’re planning a small renovation or an extensive home addition, working with several different contractors can be very confusing and stressful. Make remodeling easier by working with one contracting company that does it all: Addario's Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Electrical. Here are three reasons why working with one contracting company is preferable to working with several.

    More Efficient Work

Hiring electrical, HVAC, and plumbing contractors separately can be a huge waste of time. You’ll have to schedule two separate appointments at different times, which means you’ll have to more take time out of your busy schedule to accommodate the availability of two different companies. Working with a contractor that specializes in plumbing, HVAC, and electrical work means that you’ll only have to coordinate with one company, which means the job gets done quicker.

    Easier Payments

If you’re having lots of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC work done at the same time, working with one company can also make billing much simpler. Working with a single contractor that provides all of these services means that you’ll only have to worry about handling one payment instead of juggling three or more. This is particularly important if you’re renovating or remodeling because it streamlines the budgeting process and may even save you some money.

    Minimal Confusion

Coordinating different, yet related home improvement projects can be really difficult when working with different subcontractors. Working with one contracting company that provides plumbing, HVAC and electrical work ensures that a single contractor can take the reins to make your renovation a success. Everyone working on your home will be on the same page, which minimizes the risk of problems throughout the remodeling or repair process.

    How Tankless Water Heaters Work

    Last updated 2 months ago

You may have heard of tankless water heaters and the many benefits they offer, such as improved energy efficiency and virtually unlimited access to hot water. But few homeowners or prospective water heater buyers know much about how these innovative devices actually heat water. Here’s a look how tankless water heaters work, and how they can help you save money in the long run.

The primary difference between conventional and tankless water heaters, and what causes the tankless option to be so attractive, has a lot to do with their design. Tanks water heaters are designed to heat lots of water at once, and then store that hot water before releasing it to your plumbing. Unfortunately this means that hot water sits unused for long periods of time, and must continually be heated in anticipation of future use. The loss of heat experienced by hot water stored in tank water heaters is often referred to as standby heat loss.

Tankless systems, however, are designed to eliminate standby heat loss altogether. This is done by only heating water as you use it, and not beforehand. Tankless water heaters accomplish this by using a high powered heat exchanger, which is a device used to transfer heat from one location to another. As the exchanger heats up, water runs through tankless system’s plumbing, getting hotter and hotter. When it leaves the tankless water heater, it’s piping hot and ready to be used.

From this point on, there is virtually no difference between the user experience of a tankless water heater and a tank water heater, except for the fact that there will be no more hot-water shortages. Tank water heaters are only able to store a fixed amount of hot water. As hot water leaves, cold water enters the tank. But because tankless water heaters heat water instantly, you’ll always have a steady supply of hot water at your disposal.
